Chi Kung in Ruhpolding
With Chi Kung in the Tradition of the Masters, you can bring your inner energy and strength to new heights.
To train together in beautiful surroundings, we have been meeting regularly for several decades in Ruhpolding, a picturesque town in the Alps near Salzburg.
Here are some impressions from the last workshop.
This year we’ve been exceptionally lucky with the weather.
An early winter brought a lot of snow to the area just a week before our workshop.
But when we arrived, the sun was shining from blue skies and it was so warm that we were able to train outside under a mighty oak tree.
Training under trees is traditionally considered the best way to strengthen our life energy (Chi).
As most of the participants were well experienced and have been training for many years, we were able to focus on advanced Zhan Zhuang practices:
Second Heart, Second Lung, and Reverse Breathing are rarely taught exercises that, when practiced correctly, bring additional strength and energy to the entire body.
True to Wang Xiang Zhai’s famous words, “a small movement is better than a big movement,” these advanced exercises are hardly recognizable to an outside observer.
In silence there must be movement, and in motion, there must be silence.
Wang Xiang Zhai
A small movement is better than a big movement.
No movement is better than a small movement
Silence is all the movement’s mother.
In this extraordinary form of Chi Kung, the energy of the practitioners manifests itself in inner strength and outer radiance.
Hi Thomas, I just wanted to say thank you.
For your openness and friendliness, as well as
for the wonderful Chi Kung workshop in Ruhpolding.
It was really a lot of fun!

I hope these pictures capture some of the joy and fun we had that day.
The next workshop in Ruhpolding will take place in July 2025.
Details will be posted on the following page several months in advance.
